It has been awhile again since i put something ere... :) CNY just passed, back to work... and just feeling that everything has been fall into the mould that i would love it to be... Lots of stuff has to plan and think about....

I have been thanking my GOD day and nite for HIS\HER blessings for all I have.. It seems like i am blessed by the ONE that is looking after me.. ( i have no idea WHO that is but I am sure that SOMEONE is actually blessing me with all these.. )

Nowadays, i thank HIM\HER every now and then.. for the blessings and all.. and i kinda liked it.. strange as it may seems...

Anyhow.. I am still in the mode of LEARNING and will keep on doing what i think i do best... and will keep going strong and all....

One thing that always puts a smile on my face, is the face of family members when they sees me.. the smile, and gesture .. is actually priceless... I found out that what i misses the most now is not food nor luxury cars.. but to be with all the family members and laugh\fool around with them... All my CUz... they are so cool although they might not earn a lot.. they are CONTENT with their lives... CONTENT.. AHA!! that is the word i am looking for.. all these while... The more you chase your wealth, the more burden you will get... the more issue/problems will roll into your chase.... I am learning to be CONTENT with what I have.. and TREASURE what i have now.. rather than chasing what i Do not have....

Dreams are good.. Dreaming BIG is not bad either.. but when you dreams rolls into a bigger snowball day by day.. it is time to hit on the brakes and look around .. what DAMAGES has your dream done to your present life.... :)

One of my fren says that I am able to say this is because i have EARN ENOUGH.. means i do have like 1mil in my savings.. honestly.. NO...

I am starting to feel CONTENT about my life.. rather than chasing again...in another words.. i am TIRED of the chase and all....

Hi there, how r ya? :) not sure when will you be reading this but let's talk about what you have down for the past year since your last Birthday, ok?

Today, in 2008, you are waiting for 11th Nov to go to Doha for a new job. Basically you are a Househusband from the day you quit Intel and waiting for the flight to Doha.. I bet you are pretty excited, scared shitless, happy, sad, ... and basically every single emotion that a human can have, you would have got it by now.. Leaving a family behind, to a strange new place is kinda scary it seems eh? Tomorrow nite, in 2008 you will be celebrating your first birthday with you daughter.. let's just forget about the shitty jap restaurant that pisses you off shall we? you were taking pics and smiling but deep down, you are full of sadness.. counting down to the date for the departure ..

Fast forward to present day now... a day more to your Birthday and 4 more days to your Annual Celebration in Doha... what or how do you feel? let's list is all out one by one...
1. Job
A routine job basically for a IT person.. you learn and got a year of experience in the job... basically nothing is impossible or a stumbling block for you now, ain it? A year ago, you were earning JUST enough and now, you earned enough to cover expenses and have a little savings. Is that good or bad? you ask urself.. have you started to feel bored about your job? it is ok to have that sometimes.. once a job become a routine, it does feel kinda sucky.. it is alright to feel that.. seems like you have another challenge coming .. :) hope that will hear from you about how exciting and great your new challenge will be.. do keep me posted... I wish you all the best and as always, you will do great in it.

2. Family
Wife : Hey, i get to know that you manage to support your family without having your wife working .. that is great news.. She can become a full time housewife to take care of your precious daughter and you now. It feels great ain it? to be able to provide food on the table, without having your wife to be stressed, nor worried about $ and her job.. Feels great ain it? As always, you have a marvellous wife and family to back you and support you. APPRECIATE what you have. $ is able to buy you a family.. not able to buy you your daughter's giggle and laughter when you play peek a boo or chasing her around.. the smile on your wife and daughter's face, works greater than any anti stress medicine that you can have... You lucky bastard!

Daughter : A year has pass and your Baby now, is a young kid... :) she is running around.. shrieking, shouting, laughing at your silly look.. your peek a boo... and talking a lot now.. Time flies and how kids grow eh? from "ang koo koo" to "alligator" to a whole sentence now... she is a gem and heartbeat for you.. remember.. she is the planet that circles and needs you like the sun.. be a good role model.. Need to save for her to ensure that she has a good, bright future ahead.. I bet you can do it.. :)

Family : I bet your mum, dad and sis will be proud of you.. being able to provide allt he basic and sometimes.. luxury to your family. They will sure misses you and your family since you are so far but with the modern technology, you can see them everyday. IT feels good to be able to give them the life they deserve.. without worrying.. about $ .. that is what you wishes for day by day and i think you are doing it.. Good Job...

You see, Life is not just about how much you earn... it is about how you live it.. if you do not have any good memories or memories that puts a smile on your face, you are not living a life. you are merely a robot... anyhow.. Hope to hear from you soon and come back with good news about ALL that you have done... :)

Just got a car - sharing with my mate in Doha.. it is a Hyundai Elantra... kinda basic specs thought but it is a decent transport...
The car comes with :
one airbag - driver side
Auto windows
Aircon - (??)
wheels..
Steering..
hehehe
but it does not come with a Keyless entry.. - so back to basic.. doin it.. MANUAL STYLE...
it is a decent for a 1.6 ... but the price is very attractive - QR45k which is almost equivalent to 45kRM.... so.. what the heck rite?

Not much happening these few weeks... nothing major.... just another day, another way....
Few more weeks, i will be back to PG to hold my princess up high.. :) couldn't wait.... and then will bring them over to Doha... hopefully they can adapt to this boring environment..

I should not be doing this.. cause this is office hour.. but too lazy and bored to move ..

Anyhow... for those who are reading this.. just wanna holla at the world so that the world realize that i am still alive and kicking....

Been listening to all the old school bands lately.. esp Pumpkins... and Radiohead... kinda enjoy both of them with my Skullcandy TI series Headphones.. :)

Harlo world... :) it has been awhile since i type something here..... kinda lazy to do any typing
Hope that all those who is reading this, are all in good health . :)
today is kinda a moody day to me.. somehow someway, just don feel like doing anything.. nor dun feel like doin nothing.. just had a Vid Chat with family, i am glad that my family are all healthy and safe..
Not sure why the DOWN mode for me today.. maybe i miss my family.. maybe i am just lazy.. or maybe i am just not Me today... In a few more weeks, will be back to PG again.. and after that, i will have my BigBB and SmallBB back to Doha with me.. I am hoping that they would be able to adapt and settle themselves here.. Just got my license a week ago.. i drove a few times and getting used to it.. Will get a car soon..
Another addition to my cousin's family, and i have a new nephew in the house.. He was safely delivered @ 2pm ++ on the 15th of May... right now, we have like 3 15th Babies.. :) what a coincidence...
Work wise.. what can i say.. just doin my job and what i need or asked to do so that at the end of the month, my bank account has some figures to cheer me up...
Nothing much really happens in my dull slow world.... lots of flashbacks has been "flashin" in my mind.. not sure why.. maybe as you aged, the more you will see this....
"Regrets", "should have dones", "Shouldn't have dones" are all those words that keeps on running thru my mind like bleeping LEDs...
Till now.. i am still having a kick of being a DADDY... but i missed a lot of times with my angel.. I would need to backtrack and try to make it up...
It seems like i am Idling while moving in the mean time... Days passes by... and time is running away... but life goes on...

re-cap of a year passed by....

Hola.. i am 2 days late to do a re-cap on what would, should and could have happened last year.. year 2008 .... Let's do a re-cap month by month...

January
Went to Costa Rica for the 3rd or 4th time, to be trained by colleagues for Engineering helpdesk.. My wife is about 8 months pregnant by that time. Cut short the training period to 2 weeks in CR and came back to ensure that i will be able to greet my Baby when she sees the world... Apart from that... everything is cool ( i guess i remembered it correctly )...

Feb
The month where all the magic happens.. I first encounter the miracles of life.. My baby gal, Chan Hew Kei.. greeted me with a loud cry.. the most wonderful sound in the world .. On Feb 15th, a day late from the expected date, my lovely wife brought the most priceless and wonderful gift to me, my dear princess... no words would be able to describe the feeling.. A month of rejoice and happiness not just for me, but for the whole family...

March
A month where travelling from SP and PG seems so rapid and exciting.. While my wife is recovering, i travel home to SP almost every nite just to see them and my baby. Seeing her grows day by day is a pleasure .. I still remember the day where my wife get to know that she is pregnant.. Father's day 2007... :) mixed reaction but i knew that my baby is a gift from God, to tighten up the family and bring joy to the family.

April
Nothing major happenings in this month... if i remembered it correctly.. still very busy with baby and wife... getting the kick out of being a father.. still very high on the FATHER mode..

May
Celebrated the first ever Mother's day, with my wife and mum... what a day to remember...Got myself a new car... my lovely Latio... :)

June
Celebrated my wife's birthday - first time with our princess

July
Get to know that i will be changing job..to another dept... excited

August
Not much also..

Sept

Oct
Got a fren asking if interested in goin to work in Doha.. struggling to make a decision due to my wife n family in PG.. Decision making month..... very the pening, sad, excited.... all in one... finally with the support from family, frens and relatives, decided to take the chance ...

Nov
Sad month.. Spend my first birthday with my princess, but i will leave them 3 days after my birthday... what a way eh? on Nov 11th, i touched down in Doha... and started another chapter of my life's journey...

Dec
Suppose to be a fun month but nothing is fun if you are all alone in ur apartment .. :) A yr have pass and i consider this as a fruitful year for me, cause i have what i wanted all along for now.. House, Car, Family, Job.. all seems to be stable and nice... Thanks to God that allows me to have all this..

Hope that this year will be another good year... i just want my life to be smooth flowing. my family to be happy and blessed with good health...and all of my frens who knows me.. Healthy and safe.. Love u all.. and i will be back VERY SOON......

It has been a week in am in IDLING mode.. long holidays... let's recap n see what i have done.
1. Went to the Thai restaurant, near my office area, and it was a good dinner...
2. Went to DASMAN, a supermarket and got myself some nice cheese spread and bread, and some yogurt drinks.
3. Went to MINANG Nasi Padang restaurant and it was good as well...
4. Went to LANDMARK mall.. Went to Villagio mall....
5. Tried Char Koay Teow, taste not bad... it would be perfect if got taugeh and chai por with it.. :)
6. Get to know that my best mate, Clement and Sabrina are expecting their first offspring in another 4 months.. happy for you Bro!!
7. Downloaded TONNS of movies....
8. Still considering to buy Canon G10 or Pana Lumix LX3 ....
9. Counting the days when i will be back to PG.. ( 40 days more ONLY!!)
10. Saw the first Rain in Doha, when i went to Corniche.
11. Saw the first rain shower the next day.
12. Feeling the cold of winter.

Hmmm.. that should sums up almost everything... For the food here, it is quite expensive compared to PG.. for example, the nasi padang that me and my fren had just now, it cost me about RM50... what we took was.. Eggs, chicken, vege for me, and rendang, Chicken and vege for my fren. But if u look at it, locally, one Nasi Goreng will cost you RM25.. so i guess it is worth it then??!!... :)

Starting to get use to the area here.. starts to familiarize with the road that leads me to office, to come back, to go to Doha old town...

These few days, went to a city or some sort like an old town of Doha, it is totally the oppostite of what i have seen so far... for me, this is the REAL QATAR.. i went to the city where old buildings are there, old shops, not much of Hummer, only normal cars... ( NO CAMEL LA!!)... and it is actually quite old school... the city for the OLD Doha ( i dun think it is a correct term but i like it this way ), is almost like our Penang street.. or Little India in Penang.. or if you are from SP, Pekan Lama.... I see LOTS and i do really mean LOTS of Labourers from Nepal and India in that area... I wish i have a cam to snap some pics but i do not have (yet!!).. Heard from my fren that the city will soon be demolished, to make way for more advance and new buildings.. what a waste.. i hope i can get some pictures of it.. before they tear the REAL Doha down...

Lots of contruction surrounds me at my apartment.. new buildings are being erected everyday... this shows, the pace of developing is quite fast... A colleague who use to work in Dubai, told me that this place is 20 yrs behind Dubai.. I have yet step my foot in Dubai so i cannot comment.. ahehehh....

Not sure what to cook for dinner tonite.. maybe will try Char Koay Teow again.. Tomorrow is a working day and then, off for 2 days again... :) Life is good in the month of December cause you get full pay, but work half the time... waddup!!

Lastly a quote that i get from a fren just now .. " It takes only 2 good men to stop doing what they do before the evil man takes over... " Ponder on it....

Sad? Who Sad?

A fren of mine, read my blog and ask me if i am sad in Doha.. and i do not like Doha.. that is ABSOLUTELY Untrue.. the place is ok.. job is good and pay.. what else can i say? :-P ... Me blogging is not to whine to the world on how sad i am in Doha, just some thought that randomly came to the frame... Everything is going on smoothly here except the fact that I miss my family ( come on.. it is normal, i am just here for merely a month and i have been with them most of my life ).... For those Friends who read my blog and feel sad.. dun be.. if u all know me well enuff, this is how i look at life.. I love writing about flashbacks and how i feel... Sometimes (??!!) I might be a bit of a negative creep ( a bit???) .... but I am doin ok here.. :) everyday i MSN or talk in Skype with my wife, my BB still knows who I am (*Phew...*) and calling me PAPA.. :) ...

Thanks for the friend who pointed out how my blog affects his feelings.. appreciate it.. and he actually cared about my situation in Doha.. Thanks to you, i got this job, i moved out from PG when the economy is bad, .. u did all you can to assist me.. You are a best mate... :) So don you worry about how me feeling. it is all up to me on how to adjust the mindset and focus on my objectives and priority ( which i am doin.. :-) )......

Cocoon.. Day 4

I am at apartment.. in my cocoon.. for Day 4.. doing absolutely nothing but surfing and BT-ing... manage to actually see DOHA's rain for the first time, experiencing Winter in desert area.. All these Emptiness.. actually makes u think about your life more and more... i am @ the quarter of my life, and looking back.. i am not sure what i have done.... till now, there are lot of things that is still fresh in my mind.. although it happened like maybe 10 yrs ago... Here is the list of "MOST" stuff tht i have done and how i feel about it..

Most Regretful things that I have done :
- Jumpin a red light once, with my mum as the pillion, almost kill both of us... This is the most regretful thing and the most stupidest thing i have ever done. I could still not forgive myself for this incident.

Most Happiest Day of my life :
- Father's day 2007, I knew my wife is pregnant with my baby.. I love kids but i would never thought that i would be a father... Thanks to my lovely wife, for the best ever present in my whole life..
- The arrival of Princess Kei Kei on Feb 15th 08.... what can I say.... there is no words in the world to describe the feeling..

Saddest day of my life :
- Feb 15th 08 : Seeing my wife in the labor room.. suffering to give birth.. seeing some you loved so much, suffering.. is torturing...
- My Grandma leaving me - My grandma,( mum's side ) left without seeing me getting married and she did not manage to see my daughter..
- Wife's grandma ( mum's side) left without seeing Kei Kei as well...
- A few weeks back, knowing that my cousin, Jeanie has a cancer and it is in critical stage..
- Nov 11th - leaving my dearest wife and BB and family while i leave for Doha....

All these Flashback.. makes u wonder.. how long i would remember all this? I wish i would remember all this to keep reminding me on what i have done, and what i need to do....

As always, in this emptiness, i miss my wife and baby soo much..

Leaving your family is not a painful thing, Missing them is......

MY wife reminded me on someting.. on how long i did not hug her the way she wants me to hug her... the Koala hug... i am not sure how long has it been as well.. soemetimes, you tends to take things for granted and until it is too late....

Last week, i was kinda sadden by a comment made by a friend to me.. she says that she never sees me as a family man cause i am able to leave my very young daughter and wife behind and work so far... I was actually kinda hurt by that comment.. but one of my frens in Doha, a wise man says to me " We are doing a noble thing by providing food and shelter for your family" .. those words keeps me going.. and with the support from my Family.. i will stay focus and achieve my objective very fast... so that i can go back and spend my life with my family again...

I remember one of my best mate, who gave me this advise when i was in doubt... "remember, every decision you make, no matter stay or go, is a right decision"... Thanks Hooi for the comment, not sure you meant it or not(hehehe).. but i get the idea behind it..

Hi there folks, it is me again, your frenly botak... ahehahehah it has been few days since i update the blog.. i am getting use to the environement here.. work is ok.. not bad.. went to an off-site call Ras Laffan on Tuesday and it was really a trip.. i manage to see the REAL desert (without camel. darn!) along the highway.... Desert is really a BLANK place.... totally nothing... crazy man... i wonder how the rattle snake, the lizard all can survive in such a BLANK place.. ahehaehheh Although i am getting use to the environment here, something is still missing.. my wife sleeping beside me at nite... and waking up in the middle of the nite to make milk for my princess... i miss that a lot....

I was suppose to be PAID today but my salary was delayed till next month cause i miss the payroll date ( WTF!!!)... Talked to boss and HR.. they agree to gimme my 50% of salary advance... i dun really need much money here but i wanna send them home ...

Heard from my wife, my cousin, Jeanie, got back from SG to PG... the reason.. her cancer is getting worse... wtf man.. how can someone like her kena cancer while those fuckers out there who kill, torture or even racist people alive and kicking ?? Makes me wonder, where is GOD now? I wanted to pray for her to have a speedy recovery although she is kinda critical... but who shall i pray to ? Allah, Buddha, Jesus or Dalai Lama? WHO??

Economy is getting bad nowadays.. when i read the star, in Malaysia, people kill people.. snatch thieves hacking people... robbing.. raping.... what is goin on? Where are all the fucking politicians, who promised a better tomorrow?? is this it?? this is our TOMORROW? wow!!

Now.. back to an issue which has bug me like forever.. MAS... our very own MH - Malaysian Hospitality Airline... one airline that does not alllow cancellation... eventhough the ticket is 2 months away.. Reason? THIS IS A FUCKING LOW FARE TICKET. IF YOU DON'T TRAVEL, YOU HAVE TO BURN IT... WOW.. i am dumbfucked and suprised... I wish your company STAY GOOD IN ECONOMY N UR MANAGEMENT PEOPLE MONEY FULL FULL... I wonder how much money will the government pump in to let such GREAT company afloat in the current crisis? according to what i believe and see... as much as they can cause it contains the MALAYSIAN PRIDE.... FUCK OFF!

Today is the day where I moved to Ezdan tower.. nice from the outside but inside. OK OK nia la.. haehaheah

Finally manage to buy groceries from Carrefour - about 3km from the apartment..

Noticed one thing - Porsche Cayenne S in Doha is equilevant to the amount of CR-V in Penang.. ahehaehaeh .....

Miss my BB and Wife so much... as much as the desert miss the rain......

today is Friday which is an off day in Doha.. I will be moving on to apartment tomorrow..
Nothing really happen much today except that i watched movie the whole day in bed.. and makan also in bed.. :) ordered room service.. cause too lazy to move....

Thursday itself - 2nd day of work, finally got the chance to move around the office and was introduced to all the personnel in the company. All seems to be very nice person.. :) I am still learning the way of the company. Was assigned a ticket to help out an ang mo boss about his comp that i need to settle it on tuesday.. Heard that the person is a VIP.. need some serious attention to it.... oh well.... Receive a lot of people asking me on how am i doin here.. Thanks for al the brothers and sisters who posted in Facebook asking about my situation.. it kinda makes u feel good.. with people asking how you are doing.... the moral support is very much kinda needed..

Got myself a cellphone prepaid card call HALA... and it cost me QR50 ( about RM50), it is cheap cause my colleague all got it for QR200 before this ( they are having some promo and shit..) if anyone of you wanna text me, you can text me @

Booked my ticket to travel back to PG on 23rd of Jan ( 4 days before CNY ) and will be coming back to Doha on 6th of Feb ( 2 weeks vacation ).. fast eh? heahehaeh cost me about RM4k+ for the whole round trip... (ouch) but for my BB and family, it is not the money that matters.....

Tomorrow ( Sat ) will be one of my buddies's wedding day + nite but i am not able to make it.. Here i wishes Ah Fer ( Kar Heng ) - WHITE HEAD TILL OLD.. I really feel bad that i am not able to make it..

I really missed my BB and wife.. seeing them in webcam, is enought to ease about 5% of "missingness" to them.... I love you my beautiful angel, Hew Kei and my ever supportive and ever greatest wife, Huey Chir with all my life... I would never know how I am goin to live without the love and support from them and my family.. Their love and their support keeps me goin and alive... 67 days more to go.. 2 months and one week more to go...

Safe and sound in Doha

touch down in Doha this morning and was guided through the immigration process by a lady from a company, which was assigned to help through the immigration...

Reached Ramada hotel, and had a good bath, and then had a big breakfast... then slept for about 4 hours...

taken to office @ around 1pm, and met with the team.. mostly all are expats.. :) it is kinda nice place to work.....

one tihng that bothers me .. is how i miss my wife and BB... you will never know how much u miss them.. until you are away from them...

Very mix emotion on what to expect.. and how would react when in Airport.. many people said that they would go to Airport to see me cry ( which i would ) but not sure how many will turn up... Anyhow... Lots of frens who are willing to spend some time with me, for dinner or beer session, makes me feel glad that i have Frens.. TOmorrow is my BD.. got a Man U trainning jersey from me wife..

To me, the best birthday present, FOR LIFE = My daughter and the mother of my daughter, which is my supportive and understanding wife... I love you all to my last breath on earth..
